Foundation wall cracks:
Most concrete cracking is a result of shrinkage during the curing process, due to the heat generated at that time. Once the load of a house or structure sits on the foundation what is known as “creep” or settling takes place. The result is usually that the shrinkage crack now becomes a settling crack susceptible to leaks. Most cracks are not structural issues.
Crack-X uses a unique method of crack welding through an epoxy injection process. Epoxy creates a weld that causes the structure to be repaired as a single, continuous formation bring the foundation back to its original monolithic state. This is a permanent solution and comes with a transferable, unconditional, 10 year warranty. Cracks that have been repaired by others or that have been allowed to leak over a period of time can also be repaired using a two part Urethane. Urethane is injected into the crack in a resin form under pressure and penetrates through to the outside. Once the crack is filled the Urethane’s chemical reaction takes place, expanding up to twenty times its volume. Urethane bonds very well to wet, dirty concrete and also allows for flexibility within the crack.
